Margret Kasiva Kituku Scholarship

This scholarship was established for the purpose of assisting women from Idaho, especially those experiencing financial distress but who want to be speakers, achieve their dream and help other women. It is in honor of Margret Kasiva Kituku, Dr.Vincent Muli Wa Kituku's mother who still lives in Kangundo, Kenya.

Margret Kasiva Kituku was denied the opportunity to further her education after the sixth grade because of her gender. An amazingly caring woman, she encouraged her first-born, Vincent, to study and stay focused even though he struggled in school during his formative years.

She shared African folktales with him as they cultivated their gardens, harvested crops or washed their clothes in the river. Stories would later become the backbone of Dr. Kituku's successful calling as a communicator who trains leaders and professionals on how to create and deliver effective presentations.

The recipient of the scholarship has all expenses for materials, seminar, meals and coaching/consulting services paid for.

Who qualifies for the scholarship?

Preference is given to women who have families and professional backgrounds or experiences that can inspire other women to overcome challenges and live up to their potential. Girls who are currently seniors in high school are eligible.

How to Apply:

Write a one page essay covering these points:

  • Why do you think you need the training on How to Speak, Change the World and Get Paid (Greatly)?
  • What will you do with the training?
  • Who will benefit?

Applications must be received at least one month before the first day of the seminar.

There is one full (100% paid for) and two partial (depending on level of financial need) scholarships.

Where to send your application?

Attn: How to Speak and Get Paid, P.O Box 7152, Boise, Idaho 83707

How will you know your application was received?

Because of the cost of processing all applications, it is not logically possible to respond to each applicant. However, the recipients of the scholarships will be announced and their names posted on www.howtospeakandgetpaid.com at least three weeks before the seminar.

You may also call (208) 376-8724.

Vincent hopes this scholarship will inspire women who will in turn touch lives.
